Lock systems form a part of the traction vehicle safety procedure and are designed either as individual components or as a part of different products (earthing switch, pneumatic valve, etc.). Its purpose is to guarantee the security of the workers during the maintenance. Lock systems equipped by the locks of different codes can provide a unique procedure for every single train/unit within the project. The lock system could be equipped by auxiliary switches for indication of lock position.
The safety sequence consists mostly of pneumatic valve, earthing switch and lock system.
