Shifting 2 Green in Prague

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, will welcome a new fleet of 14 electric buses this year that will be equipped with a pneumatically actuated charging two-pole pantograph LX-1800DP developed and produced by Wabtec’s FT Czech team. The charging pantographs will enable stationary recharging of the batteries from the overhead line at the stops or the terminals. After descent of the pantograph, it is possible to operate the electric bus outside the overhead line. Prague will become the third Czech city where electric buses with Wabtec’s charging pantographs will start service.
